ECT Support Programme 2024-25
This 1 year course will be delivered over 6 days during the 2024-25 academic year. It will provide Early Career Teachers with knowledge, experience and training in key areas of professional development that will include:

Welcome to the Diocese!
A warm welcome to working in our Diocese. Introduction to the DBE team, the work and breadth across the diocese, what it means to be a church school, SIAMS and CPD training & journaling. The session will also develop understanding of Collective Worship in a church school, and expectations in delivering RE.
Day 2 - Tuesday 26 November 2024 | 8:30am - 3:30pm

Living out the CEEO Vision of Dignity and Respect
The day will begin observing worship. This session will focus on inclusion, considering the document Valuing All God’s Children, behaviour management. exploring vulnerable groups, including SEN and PP
Day 3 - Thursday 27 February 2025 | 8:30am - 3:30pm
Venue - Marple All Saint’s CE Primary School, Brickbridge Road, SK6 7BQ
Spiritual Development, Reflection & Celebration
A day which will provide experience with a visit to a school to observe worship, to explore spiritual development in schools and meet with an ethos group. The afternoon will provide the opportunity to review & celebrate the first year of teaching and look ahead to next steps.

Religious Education and Collective Worship
Two key aspects that are integral to good church schools. The session will begin observing collective worship and then consider how to be inspired, included and invited to plan and deliver an act of worship. The afternoon will focus on what makes great RE teaching, it’s relevance and academic standard with some subject knowledge development.

Curriculum
Central to the CEEO vision is developing wisdom alongside knowledge, raising hope and aspirations for all. The day will include observing worship, Character Education and Courageous Advocacy across the curriculum. There will be a wider curriculum session, to include forest school and the creative curriculum.
Day 6 - Monday 9 June 2025 | 8:30am - 3:30pm

'Learning from the First Year!', Reflection & Celebration
Looking at living out the vision for community this session is about working together. Beginning the day with Worship, and including sessions on managing workload, classroom management, working with support staff and parental engagement. We will end the day with a celebration of the year.
